Christmas With Alex

I have a new card for C Thru the Woods Clear Stamps.
I used the large Alex from the
Boys in the Woods Series
this time with a Christmas theme.

I stamped Alex on white card stock and colored him with spectrum noir
markers. He was then fussy cut and I replaced his hat with a present which was part of a
sticker sheet I had in my stash. I created a fireplace
which was also colored with spectrum noir and smudged with black ink.
I punched greenery for the fireplace mantel with a Martha Stewart pine
fronds punch and added a dazzles border on top of the greenery.
The wreath was done with a Stampabliites stamp called Evergreen Wreath
and also colored with spectrum noir and a gold gel pen.
The wall behind the fireplace was created with a striped paper from a
DCWV paper stack called the Christmas Combo
and embossed card stock.
I added some K&Company corner treatments and
used dazzles suckers for the sentiment.
I used some tiny gems throughout to finish.
If you like what I did maybe you should check out

Christmas Poinsettia

It's been several weeks since I made a Christmas card and was
motivated to do so today seeing all the challenges out there calling for them.

It's also been a while since I pulled out one of my favorite dies,
the Spellbinders layered poinsettia.
This one was done with DCWV metallic card stocks.
The ribbon has been in my statsh for quite some time.
I used a silver dazzles sticker sentiment, silver dazzles borders and added a few gems.

The sketch is from Freshly Made Sketches.

There is inspiration from Jingle Belles
which is to use their blog header.

and since I used die cuts I was inspired by
where the challenge is Christmas in July.

Charlie's Steampunk Birthday

I have my card creation for C Thru the Woods Clear Stamps for this week.
This week I used the large Charlie stamp from
The Boys in the Woods Series.

I stamped Charlie with black ink on white card stock.
He was colored with markers and pencil colors and fussy cut.
The printed paper and embellishments are all from
Hot Off the Press's Steampunk paper pack, Steampunk dazzles
and a free Steampunk download.
I dry embossed a small piece of tan card stock
with a gears embossing folder from The Paper Studio.

and see how you can get your own Charlie stamp.

Iris Birthday Wishes

I'm back for a second quick post today.
This time I have a birthday card

created with the color combo from

and the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.

The floral image is a digital stamp from
which I colored with spectrum noir markers
and added a butterfly grand adhesions sticker from
K&Company.
The frames were die cut with Spellbinders
Timeless Rectangle Nestabilities.
The embossing was done with a
Cuttlebug embossing folder.
The sentiment stamp is from Hot Off the Press
Birthday Greetings.

For Baby

My husband's administrative assistant is getting ready
to welcome a new addition to her family
and he asked me to make a card for her.

This is what I came up with.

I used the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches

and the color combo at Color Throwdown

as my inspiration.

I used Sizzix die cuts, Cuttlebug embossing folders
and added some enamel dot stickers from Recollections.

I think it turned out pretty cute!

Birthday Wishes

I have a quick post tonight with the card I made for the
  Just Us Girls challenge.

I really like the old weathered looking wood on this patterned paper from
My Mind's Eye paper pad called Miss Caroline Dolled Up.
The wheel barrow and lattice image is from a vellum
paper set from Paper Pizazz.
I photo copied the image, fussy cut it and layered over
the vellum with foam tape to give some dimension.
I stamped the sentiment on a label cut from
the DesignTool Kit #2 template from Hot Off the Press.
I punched the butterflies with a Fiskars punch and added some tiny pearls.

House of Cards

I'm so happy to be participating as a DT member at
House of Cards for another 6 months.
We have moved to a new format of monthly challenges.
This month you are to Add a Bow (or more than one) to your card in any
of the design styles you choose,
CAS, Classic/Elegant, Cute/Fun or Vintage/Shabby.

Here is my Classic/Elegant take.

I did some dry embossing, die cutting, punching and used some gems, brads,
a sticker for the "Hello" sentiment and of course ribbon.
Hope you'll link your creation up with us at
House of Cards!

Andrew's Musical Birthday

My card design for C Thru the Woods Clear Stamps this week
features the large Andrew stamp from
The Boys in the Woods Series.

I was looking through my stash of stickers and came across a set
of musical instrument stickers from Recollections
and thought the sax would work really well with the Andrew stamp.
Then I pulled out the Music Stack from Die Cuts with a View
and every thing just sort of fell in to place.
I'm finding these stamps from
are very versatile and I'm having a great time
designing with them.
You should check them out!

Andrew and His Fiancé

My card this week for C Thru the Woods Clear Stamps features the large Andrew stamp
from The Boys in the Woods Series.
I paired him up with the Prima Doll Stamp #1
for what I think would be an appropriate engagement card.

Both Andrew and the Prima Doll were colored with
pencil colors and Spectrum Noir markers.
The frame is from a set of die cut frames from Colorbok
that I bought on clearance a long time ago.
I added paper roses and gems.
The "Love " sentiment is a sticker that was part of a set
of Valentine stickers from Recollections.
I punched the small heart and added it and a gem to the sticker in place of the "o".
I think to end result turned out pretty well!

Humingbird

This morning I was able to get a card made combining 3 challenges.
I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches,
the color combo from Color Throwdown and
the word for the week at Just Us Girls.

The hummingbird was done with an Inkadinkado stamp which I've
had for quite a while but have not used until today.
I stamped it with Versamark and embossed with Stampendous
blue tinsel embossing powder and I added a little color with Spectrunm Noir.
The sentiment was also stamped and embossed the same way
using a stamp from Stampendous Orchid Greetings.
The circles were die cut with Sizzix framelits
and I added 3 gems to finish.
Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look!

52 {C}CT July Blog Hop

If you've arrived here from Ruth's blog, you are on the right track!  If you haven't and want to participate for a chance to win honours and/or prizes, please go back to the original hop post and follow along with us!  Come and take a peek at the creation I made using our prompts for the month!

I chose to make my card using Stickers.

I love Dazzles stickers and I have a ton of them in my stash
so this was a perfect opportunity to put some to use.
This card went together pretty quickly.
I don't think these snowflake stickers need a lot to showcase them
so I kept things simple using metallic blue and silver card stocks as matting
with plain white card stock for the panel and a blue banner.
Then I just added lots of blue bling
and the silver Dazzles greeting.

Thank you for coming by to leave a comment!  Don't forget--hop along with us starting at the original 52CCT post for multiple chances to win honours and prizes!  Your next stop will be
Margaret's blogMerry hopping!

Missing You

I stamped this cute little girl image with the Janie's Girls stamp set from
Hot Off the Press
last weekend and didn't get around to coloring it until this afternoon
when I saw the challenge for July at Cosmic Colours
and the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches.
I just couldn't resist coloring that outfit with these bright colors
even though I made this into a "Missing You"card.

Hope you all have a great weekend.
Thanks for taking a look!

Party!

I needed a card appropriate for a little boy's birthday and saw the sketch
challenge over at Die Cuttin Divas and thought it would work quite well.
I'm also linking up with Seize the Birthday for Anything Goes.

You are only required to use at least one die cut for the challenge
but I used 4 different Sizzix dies.
The lion was done with the Sizzlits Stuffed Animal Set
and the party hat and sentiment were made with the Sizzlits
Birthday Set #2.
The circles were cut with the Sizzix Circle Framelits.
