Introducing Jeremiah

This week's design for
features the Jeremiah stamp.

Jeremiah was stamped on white card stock,
colored with pencil colors and fussy cut.
The papers are from
DCWV's Industrial Chic Stack.
The sentiment came from
Hot Off the Press 1000 Card Quotes CD.

Candy Canes Christmas

This week's challenge at
is to pick a previous sketch.

I chose this sketch from February 2013.

The candy cane stamp I used was a post Christmas,
in the clearance bin purchase at Michael's at the end of last year.
I paid a whole $0.50 for it!
Anyway, I stamped with versa mark and then heat embossed
with red embossing tinsel, colored the bows with
a silver paint pen and fussy cut.
I applied them to the turned squares which were die cut
with Sizzix framelits.
The greeting is from a Hero Arts
Christmas Greetings stamp set.
The snowflake embossing folder I used for the background
is from Darice.
This is Christmas card #36 for this year so far!

Birthday Daisies

When I saw this week's sketch at
I pretty much knew what I wanted to do with it
and was able to put it together this morning.

I actually die cut the daisies with a
Memory box die last weekend for another card
and ended up going in a different direction.
The frames are die cut with some old
Sizzix originals dies I've had for years.
I found the button I used in the sewing department
at WalMart this morning and added some yellow ribbon
I had laying around.  I like the way it turned out.
Hope you do too!

Make the Season Bright

I made a card today combining inspiration from 2 challenges that I like
to participate with regularly.

The sketch is from Tuesday Morning Sketches

and
52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown
has  stash challenge going on.

Glitter and Bling
I think everyone likes to have a little bit of that at one time or another.
I found this free Christmas lantern printable a few weeks ago at
and knew I had to download it for later use.
I printed it twice, once on white card stock and then on cream colored vellum.
The print on the white card stock was colored with Spectrum Noir pens,
fussy cut, glittered  and placed on top of the image printed on the vellum.
Then I added the bling. I like the way it turned out!

Party with Alex

I'm getting in one last post for the weekend with
this week's design for
I've paired Alex from
The Boys in the Woods Series
with a Prima Doll.

I used the color inspiration from
the Just Us Girls challenge
as my starting point.

I stamped both Alex and the Prima Doll
on white card stock and used a combination
of paper piecing and coloring with markers
before fussy cutting.
The printed paper I used is from
DCWV's All Dressed Up Stack.
The party label was stamped with
Inkadinkado's Expressions and Frames set
and heat embossed.
The balloons were stamped with a
Stampendous stamp called Party Balloons
and fussy cut.
I finished with a couple of blue gems.

For Mom

Just a quick post to share a card I made inspired by the challenge at
The challenge is to use the sketch provided with a twist,
Watercolor.

I tried a watercolor resist technique.
This was accomplished by first stamping the image with versa mark
and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
Then I took a craft sheet and stamped 3 colors of ink on to the sheet and
spritzed with water. I took my white card stock and drug it
through the watered down inks. I was not happy with the white embossed image
so I need up going back and coloring the embossing with a marker.
I just wish my photo was better. But I guess you can't win them all!

Mistletoe & Wine Theme Challenge

52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown
has a theme challenge this week.
Mistletoe & Wine

This is my interpretation.

I found this cute little digital image,
colored it with a combination of markers and pencil colors
and die cut using Sizzix Oval Framelits.
I used a couple of printed papers from
the Paper Studio and Teresa Collins and added some gems.

All Occasion

I'm doing a quick post tonight to get this card that I started on Sunday
entered in the Just Us Girls Washi Tape Challenge.

My daughter gave me several rolls of washi tape for Mother's Day
and I've yet to use any until now. I thought this
pink polka dot tape worked well with the stamped image
I've had sitting around for a while. You know, one of those projects
you start and then decide to go another direction.
I used a stamp from an Inkadinkado set called "Beauty Stems"
and colored the image with spectrum noir pens and added a few gems.
I die cut the circle the punched butterfly is placed on. I also die cut
the wash tape with a scalloped border die and cut some banners.
Should work well as an all occasion card, right?

House of Cards Sketch 5

It's time for another challenge at House of Cards.
This month we have a sketch challenge.

The Classic/Elegant team is being spotlighted this week.
Here is what I came up with.

I used the Simple Elegance paper pack from the Paper Studio.
The solid paper on top was embossed with a Paper Studio
embossing folder called Curl Ribbon which I highlighted with a gold gel pen.
The flower cluster is a dazzles sticker from Hot Off the Press.
I backed the sticker with the same solid paper I used elsewhere on the card
and I colored it in with the gold gel pen and a bronze metallic marker.
The flower center is a Prima Say it in Pearls embellishment.
The sentiment was stamped in the center of dazzles label sticker.

Here's a close up of the flower and label.

Why don't you stop over at House of Cards and check out the other
fabulous design team creations and then link up your own.

Thanks for taking a look!

You & Me

My card design for
this week features the large Andrew stamp
from The Boys in the Woods Series.
paired with Phoebe from Prima.

I am having so much fun playing with these stamps!

Andrew and Phoebe were stamped on white card stock,
colored with markers and pencil colors and fussy cut.
The printed papers are, once again, from
DCWV's the Music Stack.
All the elements are from the same sheet. They were fussy cut
and placed behind the couple.
I cut a couple of banners out of some solid card stock
and applied the sticker words.
I finished up with some paper flowers from Recollections.

Be sure and visit
C Thru the Woods Clear Stamps
and check out Andrew and the other boy doll stamps available.

Peace

This morning I have this week's Christmas card which was inspired by
the color challenge over at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown.
I love color challenges because most of the time the combos
are not something I would have chose on my own.
I think this color combo is particularly elegant.

I started by placing these beautiful gold Dazzles stickers
on the cream card stock which I matted with white and gold.
The white flowers were punched and layered on top of the Dazzles.
Once I had that done I needed something in the center of the card
so I placed the gold dove sticker on white card stock and fussy cut.
I die cut the circles and popped the dove with foam tape.
The Dazzles sentiment was added.
I finished by using silver Jewel Dazzles
as accents on the flowers and die cut circle.

Bonjour!

I bought a new Julie Nutting stamp set from Prima called "Merci"
and decided I would ink it up when I saw the current challenge at

I stamped the doll and Eiffel Tower images
on white card stock and colored with pencil colors and markers and fussy cut.
The printed papers are from DCWV's the Music Stack.
I stamped the flourish with a set from Autumn Leaves
and the sentiment from the "Merci" set
and went over with a Souffle opaque ink pen from Sakura.
Two flowers were fussy cut from the same DCWV paper stack,
layered and matted for some dimension.
I finished up with some gray pearls.
I probably could've done a better job but am pleased overall.

The color combo is from Just Add Ink.

I also incorporated the theme at The Male Room which is Geometric
with the DP and embossed pieces.

Alex was stamped on white card stock, colored with markers and pencil colors
and fussy cut.  The embossing was done with 2 different
Cuttlebug border embossing folders.

Another Poinsettia Christmas Card

In my earlier post today I said I was going to get back on track
with my goal of making one Christmas card a week. I guess I'm
doing better than that because this is the second one today!

I'm combining several challenges with this one.
The sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches
and the challenge at Just Us Girls where the challenge word is ribbon
and since I used die cuts the Die Cuttin Divas challenge where anything goes.

One of my favorite Spellbinders die sets was put to use once again,
Layerd Poinsettia and The frame is done with the
3 Lacy Labels cutting dies by Paper Artist
from Hot Off the Press.
I used a Paper Studios embossing folder  called
Curl Ribbon, some Dazzles sentiment stickers,
of course ribbon and added some gems.

Thanks for taking a look!

Back to Christmas

I haven't made many Christmas cards in the last month. There was a blog hop
over at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown and the design team
was kind enough to invite me to participate.
Just want to thank them all for having me!

So now I'm trying to get back on schedule of meeting my goal of
making at least one Christmas card per week.

Here's what I have for this week inspired by
current sketch challenge.

I used a Deep Red stamp called Winter Church which I stamped with black ink
and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
All of the papers are from Paper Studio's Simple Elegance paper pack.
I punched the 3 snowflakes with a Marvy punch
and added the sticker sentiment from Paper Studio's Stickabilities line.
